Dr. Tanwi Bandyopadhyay is an Associate Professor in Mathematics at Adani University. Her expertise is in the area of Mathematical aspects of Gravitation and Cosmology. She has over 13 years of experience in academia. She has been teaching across bachelor degree courses (B.Sc. and B.E), a master’s degree course in commerce (M.Com) and a management development program (PGDBM) at Adani University and in other academic institutions. Her current research areas include Mathematical aspects of Black Hole physics; Thermodynamics of the universe; Mathematics of Friedmann-Robertson-Walker models and the Modified theories of gravity.
She has participated and presented papers in various workshops, seminars and conferences organized by reputed institutes and universities in India and abroad. She has published papers in peer-reviewed reputed international journals and has been reviewer of some of them. Prior to joining this institute, she was associated with the Institute of Advanced Research, Gandhinagar and Shri Shikshayatan College, Kolkata. She is a Visiting Associate to Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune, India from 2010. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Mathematics, a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and a PhD in Mathematics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India.
