Dr. Aman Deep Gupta
Designation: Assistant Professor, CIE, FEST, Adani University
Academic Area: Dept. of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering (CIE), FEST, Faculty Office, 3rd floor, Adani University, Shantigram, Ahmedabad, Gujarat-382421
Brief Profile:
Dr. Aman Deep Gupta holds a Ph.D. and M.Tech in Civil (Environmental) Engineering from IIT Kanpur and a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT BHU Varanasi. He was awarded the S.D. Bokil Award for academic excellence at IIT Kanpur. His research focuses on air pollution, particularly the health risks of inhalable ambient aerosols (PM2.5), source apportionment of PM sources, and mortality estimates using chemical and biological assays. He also works on bioaerosols, specializing in sampling and characterization through culture-based methods. Dr. Gupta has published numerous SCI-indexed, peer-reviewed journal papers, contributing to advancements in air quality research and environmental health.
- PhD in Civil Engineering (Specialization: Environment) from IIT Kanpur.
- M. Tech. in Civil Engineering (Specialization: Environment) from IIT Kanpur.
- B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from IIT BHU Varanasi.
- Currently associated as an Assistant Professor at Adani University (March 2024 – till date) in the Dept. of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering.
- Selected as a recipient of the Fellowship for Academic and Research Excellence (FARE) award by IIT Kanpur post PhD Thesis submission.
- Received Early Scientist grant from European Geosciences Union-2024
- Best presentation award in International Conference on Sustainable Environment & Energy-2021.
- S.D. Bokil Award for Excellence in M.Tech. 2018.
My research focuses on air pollution, specifically assessing the health risks of inhalable ambient aerosols (PM2.5) through chemical and biological assays. Additionally, I work on source apportionment of PM sources using receptor modeling and estimating mortality impacts associated with exposure. My work further extends to bioaerosols, where I have experience in sampling and characterization through culture-based methods.
