Selfie Scale: Looking Beyond Narcissism

On May 19, 2023, The Dept. of Research Adani University organised the third talk of the Research Talk Series. Dr. Reena Shah, Asso. Dean, CCE and Asso. Professor, FMS presented a working paper titled ‘Selfie Scale: Looking beyond Narcissism’.

She highlighted the rampant prolification of selfies across the globe and the need to measure this contemporary phenomenon. She presented the four ways she has undertaken to construct the selfie scale. The impact of Independence, Display, Manipulation and Happiness were well delivered in her talk. Dr. Shah stressed the significance of theoretical, methodological, and statistical rigour to construct any measurement scale. It was an interactive and exciting session which really admired the audience.
